This time it's for the dad.

Next weekend, we have two major celebrations so we are going out with the kids. Its our fourth wedding anniversary on the 19th then its Father's Day on the 21st. I haven't bought a gift yet since i am undecided on what to give. My husband is eying this really nice jacket from his favorite brand, but i can't afford it for now so i might get a cheaper alternative online. I saw a perfume, aftershave and body wash set with a free duffle bag that is really perfect for travelling. This is already on my list if i can't find anything before wednesday. Don't you find it hard to give men gifts? If its for women, they will always appreciate shoes, bags, make ups , shower gels, accessories.. and the list goes on .. and even if they have it already, they dont mind having an extra for future use ( get my point?) .

So anyway, aside from my husband, i also need to get a gift for my dad. I already checked with stylehive.com , and i saw that most stores offers gift sets just in time for Father's day. Oh well, you notied i visit stylehive frequently lately? Well, its because it's so easy to look around there. You can searh for keywords, tags and voila, you'll see a lot of special offers. Here's what i am thinking for the dad, hope he likes it.

This is the watch that he bought from his online earnings. Remember during my first trimester, he finished all my online tasks? He rewarded himself with this. Now he knows how it feels like to splurge a little with online shopping. Watch out when I give birth, he would be in charge of my sites again. I wonder what he's planning to buy next time.. hmmm. A lens for the camera? Oh i think he should get a new hard drive first for our computer.

Okay.. i actually don't have plans of buying anything for the dad last Online sale at Old Navy. But after seeing the items of my shopping buddies (Joy, Mai , Kathy and Abie ) .. hmm , sayang ang sale , so i grabbed these.. BI sila.. promise hahaha

** Color block polo shirt that he can use at work. They wear "bunny suits" at the production line, so he's usually wearing polo shirts at work for that semi formal look. No t-shirts na daw sa office.

He has some new shoes too. One from my mom , and one from me (early christmas gift na 'to) .. its just so hard to resist a major sale! Imagine , i shopped for my two boys and for my baby girl. This is major! Hahaha! So yeah, no shopping for me this month of October *wink wink*

Gift for Daddy

Not yet his birthday though, but I bought him this watch last weekend ... I gave him my budget and I let him choose the design . He opted for a rubber strap for everyday use since he has bad experiences with leather and stainless steels (acidic kasi eh). Our budget for his dream watch was set aside to make way for some major expenses this year. Hinay hinay sa gastos , mahina ang kalaban :)

This may not be his dream watch , but i know he really likes it.. He just can't wait to have it by next week. I also bought him some travel supplies since I saw his favorite brand was on sale.

Work out mode

For the longest time, Gelo's really trying hard to lose weight. We started by buying healthy food that he can have for dinner like garden salad, healthy juices, tuna and the likes. It worked for a few weeks, but lately he's out of his health buff mode again. Look at this picture from our vacation last March.


He is really gaining weight again, that is why he decided to check out an elliptical last weekend at the mall. I do hope this will really help him shed even just a few pounds. I don't think this type of body is healthy for him.

Pesto is Gelo's new favorite.

I cooked my 2nd Pesto for this week. Gelo is back on diet.. for the nth time. So since I am a supportive wife, ayan, pinagluto ko ng pesto sauce:) I topped it with grilled chicken strips before serving or tuna sometimes.. he even tried using the pesto sauce ( Extra virgin olive oil with basil) for his Romaine Salad.. LOL.. It tastes good.. We even sprinkled a bit of Italian Seasoning.. yum yum:)

The other day, Gelo arrived home at 12 noon, and it is so surprising for me since I know he should be at work by then. I didn't received a phone call from him on his way home, not even a text message, so I asked him why? And he just said that his cell phone signal is fluctuating from time to time, even when he was at Manila already, no good reception for him. Oh no, does this mean it's time for him to get a new one? Or should we just bring it to a technician. Have you hear that there is a signal booster already? I'll check it tonight and will let you know about it.

Online Backgammon

After his online poker craze, hubby decided to give backgammon a try. Since he is new to the game, I helped him out in looking for reliable sites to get information and whre he can play too. He is not into real money as of the moment, though I can say that he is really enjoying it. Online Backgammon is one of his past time now, he feels relaxed when playing this after having a hard day at work. Give Backgammon online a try. For sure, you will enjoy it. I am actually learning the ins and outs of the game. So this is another reason why I am online most of the time.

How will I ever forget this day?

Exactly 10 years ago today, I said "YES" to my friend who later on became my boyfriend, and now my husband and the father of my only son. It's been 10 long years of togetherness and I must admit, it's not that easy as it seems. Let me take you back in time..

I first met Gelo last June of 1995 at Mapua and we were classmates then. I only have 1 girl friend and all of my friends were boys. And he's one of them. we spend lunch together but we are really not that close. I'm closer to someone else, whose name i won't mention na lang. Years passed, we remained classmates coz we were both taking up Industrial Engineering. He's into someone else, and I am enjoying my single days then. To cut the story short, he became single and courted me. I planned everything to fall on Nov 28, because 8 is a lucky number.. continuous.. no ending.. eternal. O diba? We had a dinner at Italiannis Robinsons Place and we ordered Spaghetti with Meatballs and a Pizza. Yes, I can clearly remember everything. And it's been 10 years.

We shared a lot of stories together, some bitter, some sweet. But it doesn't matter, what matters most is that we still have each other after all those years. If ever I will be given a chance to choose a husband, It would still be Gelo. There may be a lot of men out there, but I am certain that only HE can love me this much. And I am so grateful for that love.


Because of him , I met new friends, friends that I truly value until now. I learned to give and to share. I opened myself more. I embraced love, trust and hope. I thinkof myself less and think of others more.

Life after marriage wasn't a fairy tale at all. It was actually after being tied that we experinced a lot of storms. But I am so proud and thankful that we were able to surpass everything. With God's guidance, we are together and honestly, we've never been this inlove. (mushy na ba? , but thats true).. Now, we have Joaquin.. and I can say that I feel so complete. 10 years ago, I never imagined we will last this long, I never even imagied that we will have a son.

To Gelo, Thank you for everything :) thank you for all the love and understanding, and most of all , thank you for giving me Joaquin. And like what I always tell you since Day 1 .. Let me share it here..

Shared joy is double joy.. Shared sorrow is half sorrow..

Surprise! Surprise!

All along, I have been posting here that I am getting myself a wallet from my blogging money. But being the mommy that I am, I first bought Gelo this wallet as my Christams gift( and yes, it came purely from my paypal account) ..


Thanksgiving online sale was crazy shopping for me. I bought Joaquin four shoes :) 2 from Stride Rite and the 2 soft leather ones from Robeez (thanks to Toni for telling me this brand )






Even before the Black Friday at US, I already told my sister that I don't have enough money to splurge on shopping (nalimas na talaga ko). So she said that she will just use my dad's credit card for my Coach wallet. I am really not on a rush to buy but I'm excited to have one.. Ironic ba? Lol. So My sister showed me the pics of some wallets at Macy's and sadly it doesn't have a discount at all. Goodness . Gracious! I love to have one as soon as I saw it sa pictures. So I confirmed with my sis the design that I want for myself. I asked for a french purse and a mini skinny for my coins :) Wala pa kong pera nyan, at dalawa pinapabili ko. LOL. Ambisyosa! The mini skinny is around $48, that one I can pay asap, but the wallet..utang ko muna.

My sis went to Macy's and left my mom and dad at the grocery. It was a quick purchase and she just used her credit card to hide the real amount from my dad. She was giddy happy to show her purchases this morning. I can see it in her, she's happy with her items too. So, I made everything clear, on how i will pay her. She even said, "walang tulugan sa blogging yan". But she told me that she's not on a rush for my payments. But still I insisted with our terms of payment.
This afternoon, at YM with Gelo, we were chatting about my wallet and on how I'M gonna pay Ricca. But I was shocked to know, that Gelo already talked to Ricca even before Thanksgiving about buying me a wallet. It's just I'm so fickle minded with my chosen designs, I keep on changing daw, so he really cant ask Ricca which design to buy for me. Oh My! I was so touched! He wanted to surprise me at all. He even wanted Ricca to tell me na hindi nabili ang wallet, wala lang, to make me sad a bit and to feel the excitement again. But Ricca can't hide her shopping excitement, so ayan.. now I have my wallet.. And Gelo is the one paying for it. (Well, Im still paying for the coin purse). How lovely is that? It's like exchange gifts , LOL! Here it is..

Thank you Gelo. You can't keep surprises too, just like me:) So now, we have to work hard para may malagay tayo sa wallets natin , LOL. Or else, mahal pa ang wallet sa laman ng wallet.. but nevertheless, I love it, coz it's from you :)

9 opps...I told you.. see? Flooding na ba? LOL. I'm not complaining.. i'm lovin' it. And I think this is a lucky week for me, I was able to grab a $20 opportunity too. I am reaaaalllly enjoying it. I earn a good amount of money while staying at home and being with Joaquin the whole time.

I am a hardworking blogger coz I need to earn some more for next month. I am working to give the daddy his Christmas wish (and with that, I think my personal wish would have to wait again). I already calculated the expenses, and i don't think I'll have my item by december. So wait na naman ang drama ko. But it's okay, I feel that it's best for me to give than to receive for Christmas. Naksss! Honestly, kahit di Christmas, madami na gifts si Gelo, so I really can't ask for more. Having this laptop even though I didn't asked for it (and though there's no special occasion) is something big for me. He would even buy me clothes everytime he will pass by Festival Mall. I love it of course, salamat sa color coding every Thursday, he waits til 7 at Alabang. I'm telling you, he provides more than what I ask from him. Last time, he did shopping for the little boy. Clothes, ball, and bubbles made Joaquin jump for joy. Oh how I value those simple acts of love. I am a "babaw" person when it comes to pasalubongs or gifts. I guess it's the thought that we are remembered that counts.

So now, I am also giving something for him. I haven't worked longer than 5 months in my entire life, so I honestly don't have much money even when I was still single. This is really a time for me to be a giver. Yes, I am giving him his Christmas wish. From my blogging money, I might buy the item online (or during Thanksgiving sale, but I doubt if it will go on sale), have it shipped at my family's US address then have it shipped here. All for love talaga :) Yeeehhhheeeee!

So now, I hope you do understand why I blog to death.. this is something for the daddy this time. Oh you might notice, I don't have plans on buying anything for Joaqui? Why? I will tell you soon.. For the mean time, blog muna :)

Melissa in danger

yeah.. BIG danger. Here's my story.

I am hiding the fact that I have plans of buying from my Big Boss. Too bad , he checked my blog last night and saw my shopping plans! But it's not big problem at all, i kinda convince him the reasons why i wanna have it. The conflict arise because of Manny Pacquaio's game tomorrow. Pinusta ko ang pagbili ng sapatos ko. LOL.

Gelo insited of watching the game at SM (starts at 8am), and I said NO since we need to leave the house at 12 noon for Joaqui's class at the Little gym. After his pangungulit, I said YES, provided that he needs to be home at 12 noon, and I don't care if the game is over or what. We can't afford to miss any class at the gym anymore. Malapit na ma kick out si Joaquin because of his absences. Joke! So he is claiming that the game would end before 12, just like the last fight with Morales na until 3rd round lan yata. The super kulit me said for the Nth time, that he won't finish the game and it's just a waste of money. Ewan ko ba kung bakit, pinusta ko si Melissa. Tsk! If the game will finish before 12, he wins.. and goodbye Melissa. BUT, if it will finish after 12.. Hello Melissa plus, we share the purchase.. Woohoo.. Now I'm praying na mabugbog silang dalawa para matagal ang game.. hahaha! Bad! All for my Melissa :)

Pics taken last Sunday at Ust. The little boy doesn't have his IV anymore so he looks better there than the first few days. *sigh* He really lost weight , so ito , nagbabawi kami with Pediasure. Good thing he is eating so well eventhough he is into it.

Wedding Bands

During our wedding, Gelo and I opted for a simple wedding ring that would go with our budget. Two years passed, and now he told me that he wants it to have two diamonds to signify our two years of marriage. So we went looking out for wedding bands this time. We would always wanted to have a classic look with elegance, and this time with the two stones. Hmm, I wonder how much that would that eat up on our budget? But still, it's not on our priority now, so I guess that one can wait. And for the record, I love the rings that we have now ( but I'm excited too to have a new one!).
