His 3rd

After blogging about this , Joaqui ended up being admitted at the Hospital. Looking back, here's what happened..

Saturday - Check up with his pedia, and he was diagnosed of a severe sore throat, thus the case of fever and a drop in milk intake. Little boy got into antibiotics and paracetamol.

Sunday - No fever anymore. He was able to eat a little , plus a little milk too. I noticed him touching something inside his mouth while eating.

Monday - Im in panic mode already, no milk the ENTIRE day ! He asked for it, but refused when he sucked the teats already. Positive! I saw a big Singaw at the left part. I knew it was so painful for him. Tried giving him milk thru the cup and straw, but still, he rejected.

Tuesday - AM - Still no milk intake. He's so irritable.. as in! Not the usual Joaqui . I sensed it already. I told my sister , " Candidate na tong si Joaqui" (candidate for being admitted at the hospital). He became clingy too. So i decided to go back to his pedia later in the afternoon.

Tuesday - PM - It was supposed to be just a check up, and we even plan to go to SM and pay some bills after. But that didnt happened. The moment his pedia saw him, she told me " Peach, admit na natin si Joaqui, he looks dehydrated" .. There! I knew it! When his mouth was checked, he got some other singaw pala! And one of his gums is bleeding a bit , and add to that some rashes at his torso. Panic mode agad kami ni Gelo ! I am definite, no rashes when I changed his clothes before going to the hospital, but when we were at his pedia, visible red marks talaga! Dengue Alert ang drama namin since he had fever for 2 days.

Tuesday NIGHT - As usual, it was so hard to get a room at UST that is covered by our healthcard. We grabbed the suite just to have a room, so that Joaqui can have his IV already, to keep him hydrated. Sayang ang oras, blood tests should also be done ASAP. Luckily, we dont have any incremental costs at the suite for the 1st night though its not covered by the healthcard. It is written at the terms and conditions that if no room is avail, the first night is free even if we are in a suite. Salamat!

Having nothing in hands but his bag owith 2 milks , extra shirt and diaper, Gelo and I decided to go home to get our stuff, while my sister and our helper stayed with the boy. It was raining really hard that night. We first dropped by SM for a little grocery of some things we will need . At 30 mins , we were done at the grocery and headed home, where i packed almost everything in my mind! Toys and books of course! At ang laptop! Hahaha!

He already have his IV when we arrived back at UST, and he was asleep. My sister said that he just cried, but not "nagwawala" like his previous cases when I was the one holding him. So better pala na wala ako dun, LOL. Would you believe, Gelo wouldnt want to see Joaqui in this scenario, ever! This is his 3rd already, but there was never a time that he held the little boy when its time for IV. He doesnt wanna see it daw, and he cant stand hearing Joaqui cry tremendously.

I am cutting this for now. Part 2 later.
