My boy who will soon turn 4

Oh how I miss those times that he was still a baby. He was a bit fragile because he is sickly, so you can imagine me being a pranoid mom every now and then.. and I guess that's really the case with first born kids. I was too innocent then that I always ask my friends, relatives and my mom on what to do whenever something happens. But look at him now.. he is getting more independent each day, and yeah, he's growing up to be one good looking guy :)

Next month , he will turn 4 and by June he will officially be a pre schooler. Where did all the years go?

Last Sunday we went to the mall to look for TV mounts , and we were lucky enought to score one on sale. Most of the stores were on sale, including my favorite store for my princess, so i got her a few tops too. It was a usual Saturday for us , mall + good food. We had crepes for snacks and some Chinese food for dinner. My boys were on the mood for some shots while waiting for our food.



Notice they are wearing polo shirts of same shade (blue). It was my son's request with the dad, for them to wear the same colors that day, same shoe style (sneakers) , and a black belt of course. He so wanted to be like his dad :)

We left our place a little early to prepare for the show. I met some of my friends at Gateway , had snacks at Auntie Anne's then went to Araneta Coliseum. We loaded ourselves with popcorn and french fries. The show itself was spectacular, though Joaqui finds it a bit loud so he would cover his ears most of the time. But still, he would clap after every scene , jump and wave to the characters. It was worth every penny spent. I can see at Joaqui's eyes how he enjoyed it.

Before heading home, we went back to the mall to get natural acne pills for my cousin. We went to the nearby fastfood for our dinner. It was such a night filled with Disney Magic.

He can write his name.

Last December 10, I was doing some insurance research for the whole family ( and I found good rates here ) when my boy showed this to me with so much pride! I was so amazed because he can really write his name now without any help from me or without tracing. Joaqui is just 3 years old and he's not attending pre school yet. I noticed he got really interested with letters when he started playing the Leapster LMAX from Leap Frog. It has a cartridge called Letters on the Loose where they explore the letters and trace them. Now I let him practice writing whenever he is in the mood. I still let him enjoy his playtime everyday as I believe that kids learn through creatvie / manipulative play.

We are so proud of you Joaquiboy! Way to go!

lil techie

After the typhoon Ondoy, our internet was badly affected. During the first day, it was something I can manage as I was too busy fixing stuff here at the house. The second day, I felt bored already as I miss chatting with friends and with my family. My mom called to check on us . That 2nd night, I decided to stay at Seattle's Best so I can check my emails and do some work. Guess what? After ordering drinks and their omelet, I learned that their internet was down too. I just enjoyed my coffee and let the little boy play.

And me, I end up eating a lot that night! I would really need weight loss pills so I will look good on my daughter's birthday party.

and the pics are never ending!!! I only have a few pics of him because I was also at the swimming pool that time. I just enjoyed myself there. Some were taken by my SIL.

I am still going through our pictures and I feel like missing the place again. I have edited some of the pics but Im still trying to finish all before I upload it at my flickr. I am sooo in love with Adobe Lightroom. Thanks to my cousin for that suggestion. Now I am loving photography more.

Beach Boy

Sharing with you some shots of my boy at the beach. He really had fun this time as he gets to enjoy everything more. During our first day , he was wearing his shoes, but the second day , he find it more comfy to walk around with bare feet. He is soo dark now, good thing I always apply sunblock to his face and all over his body. I will definitely plan another beach getaway come Summer.

Boys will be boys

Joaqui and Manu (thanks to Gats for the pics ) having a grand time playing together. While the girls and some boys stayed at the playroom of Jody's girls, these 2 boys stayed at the living room playing PSP and hotwheels. They got bored after that they decided to play with Joaqui's ball but I have to stop them , baka makabasag eh LOL. They then transferred to the stairs where most of their shots took place. Hopefully they can play basketball next time. I bet all the boys will enjoy that huh?!

Doodle Doodle

I am thankful to restaurants who gives kids crayons and stuff while waiting for the food to arrive, like Cibo and TGIF . Hahaha! It's a big help for us (especially me who is yayaless) since they are quiet even for a short time. But since not all restos provide this art stuff, I am thinking of bringing a few crayons and a sketch pad/ coloring book for him.

bReakfast !

Here's my boy during our breakfast at Bellevue!



He enjoyed going around the buffet, choosing some food. He got this on the 2nd day. The Koko Krunch was his fave even during breakfasts at home. He tried out some pastries and bread too. He even got some small donuts during our first day.

The buffet breakfast at Bellevue is good. It can pass for a brunch if you arrive late , just like us Hahaha. The kids were still in their PJ's during those times because they woke up late and we don't have time to change their clothes because the husband and i were hungry all ready.

Coffee - cookie Break

We went to Starbucks on a weeknight as requested by my boy to get a doughnut. Unfortunately , only the chunky choco cookies and Tuna bread were left and they are still waiting for their delivery. He was a bit disappointed as he kept looking at the display .. the ending, he ordered cookies.




He said the cookie is yummy. He also had a few sips of our frap but I dont think he likes our drink, because he asked for his water and never tasted our frap again lol.

Gotta go, need to sleep now , we have an important meeting later. Have a great weekend everyone !

Saturday Fun

We had our annual Family Outing last Saturday, and boy oh boy, my kids had fun at the pool. Thanks to all the inflatables of their cousins hehehe. Kuya wasnt in the mood at first as he only wanted to stay at the stairs..good thing he picked up during lunch time. My princess loves the water. She did not cry .. she loves playing while there.. Thanks to my cousin for the pictures , my kids has great shots. (i promised il give her a micro sd as a talent fee).




The inflatables that Joaqui used was a bit small for him already, he loves it though so i let him stay there. And the princess? Isn't the last pic enough to prove how adorable she is in that 2 piece with an animal print?!?! Now i want to go on swimming again next week.

After his stints of being a rockstar, a basketball player , a soccer player.. now this?? hahaha. Blame the dad! Hey I have nothing against boxers, but i think he's too young to be exposed in this field. This pic was during our lunch at Pepato during my birthday, I cant remember why he posed to me that way ( my mind is a bit blank that time, i had problems with my unlocked phone) , but i find it cute. Look at those eyes.. and the fists hahaha. Will he bring home lots and lots of money too just like Pacquiao?? .. Well, I'll be one happy mom if that will happen!

My little Beckham

I knew from the start that he will have a great time at Futbol Funatics. Look at my boy during his trial class before the Holy Week ( yay, this proves to be an overdue post!)

The dad who is the most excited of all even took a video during the little boy's 2nd time at the field. He went to some Sports Depot to look for soccer shoes, but unfortunately , the smallest was size 13 already . But he didn't went home with nothing, he got shin guards for the boy last week , and just yesterday , he bought a soccer outfit. My MIL also gave him a soccer ball in blue! My son is crazy with the color blue!! He wants his shoes to be in blue too!

Oh, and I feel excited with the uniform that we ordered ( i feel more excited with that than the outdoor dining sets we ordered). Im even planning to get the jacket for him maybe next week. This is major!!! Major gastos!!! Hahaha. But it's okay, anything for my boy. I am seeing his passion for the sport, so we will go all the way to support him . Im glad that my son is into sports, definitely , he got that from his dad.

Excited for Summer

I am one excited mommy.

My little boy will try out Futbol Funatics for this year. Soccer is his 2nd love, Basketball being the first. But I had a hard time looking for a basketball camp for his age, and when i saw FF , I knew that this would be the best activity for him this summer, or maybe the entire year? I still don't know , it will depend on how he will enjoy everything. I really want him to excel in sports (frustration ko yan eh , im not into any sports kasi) , sports that he really really like. Just tonight, i asked him to try out his rubber shoes with socks. Gosh, my boy doesnt wanna wear socks before , but a while ago, i didnt had a hard time to make him wear socks. I just told him that he will practice soccer. Hahaha.

The rubber shoes was from my mom and he got that when he was just months old, and this is the first time he'll use it LOL! If things will turn out great, his dad wants to get him soccer shoes :) And the socks? Got it (just today) at SM! I realized he doesnt have something a bit high so we got one. Tomorrow will be his trial class , i wonder how he will "play".

By the way, would you know where I can enroll him for a drums class? He is still playing drums here at home like before, and i so i tried looking for drum lessons. They usually accept at the age of 7 , since the kid will use the standard adult drumset. I think , now we just have to settle with him playing on his own.
