Gelo , a self- confessed Japanese Anime / Manga addict bought this for Joaqui a few months ago. I was a bit apprehensive to let Joaqui read this because of the difference in Graphics. Jesus was drawn in a different way ( if you are familiar with Japanese/Manga graphics, you know what I mean) , so I first had a little reading before I let him browse through the pages.

He now enjoys this book , we read this 5 - 10x a day would you believe? And now that I am typing this, he saw the pic and keeps on touching the laptop screen.. He loves to read (im so thankful , nagmana sa akin ) , he's never choosy when it comes to reading materials. He even "reads" novenas LOL. He has 2 Children's bible too :) I am so glad , he knows Jesus at such a young age.

I havent done anything productive yet since Monday. I wonder if my pregnancy ( read : bigger tummy) is to blame. I'm too lazy to move. Thanks to our wireless connection at home.. I can go online anywhere.. and would you believe that at most times, im lying in bed while chatting? Tamad talaga.

Lucky preggo

I remember , during my pregnancy with Joaqui, zits appeared at some parts of my face during my last trimester, and my OB said it has something to do with pregnancy hormones. Since I am not allowed to use any derma products during pregnancy , I just used a mild cleanser to wash my face. I was even researching then at the best acne website I've seen, but still they don't let the products be used by pregnant women. This time around, I'm a lucky girl, I find my skin really better in texture and appearance. No pregnancies are really alike, eh?

Home on a Sunday

Due to the bed weather, we decided not to hit the mall today. We spent quality time with the little boy , playing and watching DVD's together. I feel lazy to move around the house, we just stayed in our room , feeling the nice weather. I love the rainy season actually.

Gelo was supposed to have a car wash today, but decided the last minute because it was already a gloomy sky this morning, instead he cleaned the car interiors to make him sweat. Yeah, that's a form of exercise for him :) Now I am busy checking for some faucets for toilets , the one we have at the wash room has a little rust in the handles, and I want to replace it as soon as possible.

Despite the cleaning and searching, it is still a relaxing Sunday for us.

I am currently busy with my new home.. im updating it with a baby stuff i bought online. after 2 weeks of finding out the gender , i think i have to track down and list the sizes of what I bought. Wala pa nga syang shoes kainis! LOL!

Just this morning,after breakfast , I was really amazed on how well he can converse already at 2 years and 3 months.

Mommy : " Common Joaqui, wash up time, then you'll change clothes"

Joaqui : (holding a crayon, while sitting in his study table, he looked up to me and said.. )
Later Mommy. Later.

Mommy : "Okay "

A few minutes after, I went back to him and said.."Common.." (and i gave him a nod)

Joaqui: "Later Mommy, I'm writing." ( and pretended to be soo busy with his colors and books)

I wasnt able to say anything , and just finished my bowl of Koko Krunch. After that, I asked our helper to carry him so I can wash him already. I know, he will answer me again with his favorite "later mommy" line kung di ko sya papakuha sa table nya.. hehehe

school time

Im not only a fan of clothes , but I'm also crazy with make - ups. I feel lucky that my sister gives me tons of products with good brands, so I really don't spend that much. And since having different shades of eyeshadows and blushes challenge me, I am thinking of enrolling myself into one of the top beauty schools in the country today. I've seen Regency Beauty online , and I am really convinced in getting a short course from them on make up, or even with hair care. Since it really takes lessons to know the tricks and styles in make up application, getting to a beauty school would be the best choice. Then if I still have plans of pursuing this career , I can try it with my friends. I am anticipating this new experience for me, and I know this is something I will truly enjoy being a make up lover.

Never ending

I always have pending tasks. Im really not complaining, but i guess I should learn to have a schedule soon. I am online at most times, but I really can't focus on doing assignments when my little boy is up. So it ends up, I stay late to finish what needs to be done online, and I know it's not really healthy for a preggo like me.

I have to cut down with browsing online stores too, its truly tempting plus it eats up my time while im online.

So gotta work for now while hubby is here to take care of Joaquin

I posted before how my husband got really hooked with playing poker online. It subsided a little for now since he is just too busy with work to face the computer. And guess who is trying it now? Yes, Me! I am not good with poker, so I searched and searched until I found the best game for me. Online Casino is said to be getting a big market in the internet now, and I certainly know why. Because it is really fun ! I tried it a few times already when I'm not busy with anything at home, and you bet, I spent hours with it already. Though I only play slot machines with my "online money" , still it's such a wonderful experience.

He is obviously crazy with his balls. He has a lot , with different sizes and colors. But these 3 are his faves (yellow spongebob , brown from little tikes, and the soccer ball). There was never a day that he wont touch it and play some hoops.

4d and Photo shoot

I already inquired with Ging Lorenzo regarding her Maternity sessions, and I am just thinking when would be the best time to have the shoot, maybe a month from now? When my tummy is a little bigger :) Then I am also looking out for possible locations... any suggestions? Of course, my boys will join me at the shoot, I just wish Joaqui will not give us a hard time since he's not fond of photo sessions now ( not unlike when he was still a member of the Picture Company).

3D / 4D ultrasound also on schedule. With Joaqui, i had it during my 28th week at Asian Hospital. I am thinking to have it maybe on my 3oth week this time. Im one excited mom :)

Im nearing my 6th month, and i'll have my next check up on Saturday. Lil princess is getting really active inside too.

Gift for Daddy

Not yet his birthday though, but I bought him this watch last weekend ... I gave him my budget and I let him choose the design . He opted for a rubber strap for everyday use since he has bad experiences with leather and stainless steels (acidic kasi eh). Our budget for his dream watch was set aside to make way for some major expenses this year. Hinay hinay sa gastos , mahina ang kalaban :)

This may not be his dream watch , but i know he really likes it.. He just can't wait to have it by next week. I also bought him some travel supplies since I saw his favorite brand was on sale.

Timezone Boys

Timezone is the only place where Joaqui can stay for a looong time, having fun , without looking for me. As in! Basta may Timezone, happy ako , coz I can let him and Gelo have some "father and son" bonding, while I have some ME time at the mall. Here's a few of their pics..

I already exchanged it with a Backpack, 2 balls, 2 inflatable toys, small toys like cameras, puzzles, pens, dinosaurs ( nawala na nga) , yoyo (broken with missing parts) , and now im saving up for a soccer ball. Weekend won't be complete without a trip to Timezone :)

Garage for Rent

Buying a nice brand and quality of a car is such a good investment. Since it is something we use almost everyday, it's something that should last for years, of course, not to mention provide it's owner's maximum performance. Aside from the usual carwash , and maintenance check, For me , having a safe and secure parking space or garage is a must. This is very applicable if you live in a city like London. If it is not parked securely, it is not impossible to have dents and scratches that could bring damages to the car. In a place like London, where the space is limited especially if you live in a flat, the best option is to look for Garages in London that can be rented monthly. Every parking space provides description and information about the rented area. There is a fixed monthly rental that goes with it too. I have seen a lot of available spaces in different areas of London, so it is sure that there is one near your place. You can even apply for a space online . The parking space for rent is not only in London , but offered nationwide. You can sign up at the website too if you want to receive additional information.

It is always better to spend a few bucks with parking , than have regrets later on to what might happen to your car.

I am not shock to see his clothes after playing.. this is the reason why he takes a bath after lunch time. After his breakfast, we would wash him for nappy change , and I just use a hand towel to wipe his body parts. Then off he would play. 3 - 4 hours after this, he's all sweaty hehehe. I just let him be.. (i always make him wash his hands though if he will munch on something after his game).. para tumibay tibay ang katawan sa bacteria .. LOL

Park and Go

When you live in the city, you'll realize how congested the place is, and how limited space you've got. I thought I am the only one having this problem since I lived in the city my entire life. But just recently, my friend who recently migrated to London told me that she's having a hard time with the space she currently has. She lives in a flat and doesn't have a parking space of her own. So she went her way to find a nice spot to park her car. But what she found was something not that secure. So I just told her to searched for some London Parking for Rent , as I am sure they have it in their area too. And I was right. She was able to get a parking garage near her flat, at a very good monthly rate.

It is really advisable to have a safe and secure parking spaces for cars. We spent good amount of money buying a car, so we, as owners should treat it with care. If we don't have the space at home, we have the option of renting spaces strategically located near our places. That way we feel secure too. There are websites that can you out, and you can even apply for that needed space online. Yes, its that easy .

A: What accessories do you wear everyday? Im home all day , so on a typical day, I just have my wedding ring and another ring also from gelo.

B: What is your beauty routine?
Since I am pregnant now, I am extra careful with beauty products. Aside from daily bath of course, I just wash my face with a mild cleanser, and a little moisturizer when im going out. I have a gentle body scrub from VS that i use at least once a week. I am a sensitive now with scents, i use Aveeno lotion ( i forgot the name, its fragrance free ), and i dont spray any colognes at all. When it comes to make up, i use my all time fave Mac , Bare Escentuals (blush and eyeshadow) and Burts Bees tinted lip balm in Fig.

C: What was the last item of clothing (for yourself) that you purchased?
The 3 dresses from Forever 21 . I soo love it, im buying myself more .

D: Do you use a dresser, closet, or both? Both.

E: What type of earrings are in your ears right now? none for now

G: Do you wear glasses? Yes, only at home :) Im wearing one since college days.

You may not know that I am wearing eyeglasses whenever I am facing the laptop. I actually have a poor eyesight, but I seldom wear eyeglasses , not until I saw Incredible Stylish New Frames From Zenni . Wow ! Super cheap eyeglasses thats really good for everyday use.



The other day , Zenni Optical was on FOX news! And i hurriedly checked on its website after seeing their sample eyeglasses. I am getting one for me and for my sister, Zenni Optical $ 8 Rx Eyeglasses are the best sellers, but they still have other models available at really good designs and prices.

Our Weekend

Aside from the great news last Saturday, we also celebrated my mom's birthday with a dinner. Though she's not here in Manila, we make it a point to have a simple dinner still ( same goes for my dad and my sister Ricca ). My boys had a grand time at Timezone too. we were able to avail of their promotion, Load Php 200 , and receive Php 300 credits at your card! (promo for students).

Yesterday, Sunday, We had another dinner invitation, it was the birthday of Gelo's cousin at Seaside Macapagal. Before hitting the place, we went around MOA, and a lot of stores are on Sale. He grabbed shoes from Lacoste , i think he got it 40% off the real price. He also got himself Merrell shoes for everyday use. See, im not the only shoe person in the house. I didn't like anything
from the ladies sale section though, they offer sneakers mostly, im looking for flats. And its okay, Im busy shopping for something else.

Oh Yes !

Just had my ultrasound today at around 11 : 20 am !

Gelo and I are still ecstatic ! I wasn't able to eat much for lunch ! Pinilit ko na lang kumain at 2 pm:)

yes, we are having a baby girl!

We feel so happy the lil princess is doing great inside. We had a very nice view of her face:)

So this is how it feels to have a princess ... Goodness, I spent $60 already in online shopping in as little as almost 4 hours after hearing the news.. Bwahahah!

Badly in need

Have you seen Gelo lately? Well, i think this picture would prove that he really needs to lose weight already.


This was just last March, and I think he gained weight again this time. Before, he was getting serious with his diet, eating Romaine Lettuce with Tuna or Chicken Breast for dinner. During breakfast, he would often have oatmeal or wheat bread. But he really just can't stop eating much, and he is blaming the food that we have at home which he finds just hard to resist. Hehehe. Just this evening, I reminded him to try to go on diet again, he might not be healthy now with his body. But he can't commit yet. I guess we are down to our last option, to try some diet pill that works.

Luggage Check

It's been a while since we last had an out of town vacation, and I really miss planning on one. Hubby and I talked about it, and we agreed to have another trip a few months after the baby arrives. Still a long way to wait, but its fine with me since I don't want to risk my condition now for the sake for traveling. I already had a hard time with my first trimester, and I simply want to enjoy the rest of my pregnancy without being asked to go on a bed rest. So this afternoon, I wrapped our luggage with a nice plastic cover since we won't be using it for a while. I realized , we have a small one , and maybe we should get a bigger one from Delsey for our next trip.

Wii at it's best

All of us may have heard of the latest hit not just in the USA but in most parts of the world, the Nintendo Wii game console . But have you tried it recently? My mom kept on telling me how she was convinced to get one. She use it not just for the purpose of gaming, but for exercising , would you believe? She is enjoying it , and she makes it a habit to have her Wii exercise every morning before hitting work. Lately, she asked me to check out the Wii remote , i am really not familiar with the product, so I checked it at Shopwiki for reference. And there I found all the information I need to know about the game console. I might also get my mom some Wii games , so she will not get bored with playing only two games. I think she has tennis and golf already. I plan to check the other games they offer, im giving it to her as a gift because it's her birthday this week.

My husband is now thinking of getting this game console, primarily because of exercising too. So its like hitting two birds with one stone , playing while exercising. We have some other game consoles here at home that he is currently hooked with , but after trying the Wii last weekend at the mall, and after seeing it's price online, he is now inclined of getting one too. I think this will help him lose weight if he will really play with it on a regular basis.

This is a usual scene at our house every morning, before I even log myself online. Im trying to take pictures everyday when he plays.. he is really developing some good moves already. I think he got that from watching (and playing) NBA . You should see his face during a dunk shot.. thats what im trying to capture next time. He gets curious with a camera during his game.

It's just so hard to have a child who is prone in acquiring allergies. Joaqui was diagnosed with asthma (which is a form allergy)when he was 4 months old. Since then , I was always on guard with all the fabrics we will use, his clothes, bed sheets, toys and pillow cases. We also bought Blueair , a known and reliable air purifier brand, and I can say that it really has it's visible effects. It was suggested to us by my son's pulmonologist. I guess living in the city adds up to my son's condition too, you know, where all the pollution is.

Now, he's not having serious attacks anymore, though he would still catch colds once in a while, but im just thankful, its not that usual as before.

Today is Monday

Started the day with a good breakfast with the little boy, hotdog with pandesal and hashbrown :) After washing the little boy for nappy change, he had his daily basketball fix. I took a few shots and I will upload it later. I try to take his pic every morning when he plays. He has some moves already :)

After his game, i went online to check my mails and assignments, while Joaqui watched Baby Einstein. He asked for some Koko Krunch to munch. Just had lunch , and it's still a long day for us. I need to finish my remaining assignments, as I hate being swamped with work ( but I always end up cramming though) .

Crazy with Soccer

As I have previously posted here, my son , who recently turned 2 is so much into balls, specifically basketball and soccer. We already had basketballs in different sizes and colors. And we even got him a simple ring to go with that. But recently, there are slight changes with what he likes, he started to play soccer one morning. Though it is mostly consists of plain kicking the soccer ball, I think he needs to understand the objective of the game. So I looked for some kiddie portable Soccer Goals over the internet , as I never saw one at the mall last weekend. Im one lucky girl to find a website that carries a good brand at a very good price. It has a low , flat rate for shipping , and I guess that is something fair enough. The materials used for this product is also of high quality (sturdy to be exact) , since boys can really play rough and they can smash their toys in no time. Excitement fills me now, as I cant wait to see my little boy enjoy playing soccer now. I really never thought that they kiddie soccer goals at all, I actually just gave it a try to check online since I am so much into online shopping, as you all know. I do hope that my husband will give me a Go signal in purchasing this one, he actually has no reason to disagree now, since we still don't have a soccer goal at home. Im gonna post some pics when we have it already.

My little boy is so much into basketball. We first made him use a plastic basketball ring with stand that was a gift during his 2nd birthday. But since he is using the orange rubber ball, it only lasted him a day. So we searched at the mall for our best possible option. I wanted something on the heavy duty side so we checked at Little Tikes. Most that we've seen are still way too big for him , but we were able to get a good one at almost Php 200 only. Great buy! Wooden board , plus the ring itself is made of a sturdy material ( which is attached to the board with 3 screws!) So far , Joaqui is still enjoying this one. And of course, Daddy chose Letran Knights , Letranista eh :) This is now placed near our gate.

** one sunday morning, watching the kids on our street playing basketball. Never mind the shorts! Hahaha ! He needs to be in a jersey top when he plays :) **

** one of his ballsssss... can you see the joy in his face ? He plays the basketball everyday ( i lost count on how many times ) , and he makes it a point that I am there when he plays. He loves giving me a high - five when he makes it to the goal. Then he wants me and our helper to shout .." GO , Joaqui! GO , Joaqui ! " when he is dribbling .. It gives me so much joy as a mom .. Cheerleader pa ko! Wait til you see me holding pom poms at Araneta. LOL.

I still want to upload some more pictures , but my laptop memory is running a bit low. I think we need to upgrade this one already.

Health Check

Aside from my prenatal check ups done monthly, I am also seeing my pulmonologist for my asthma, because in some cases , it may get worse during pregnancy. But i feel so blessed that even when I was pregnant with Joaqui, I never had a terrible attack yet. I always make it a point to have some preventive maintenance, so as with Gelo's health, because I hate the thought of being admitted in the hospital. I remember when my father in law got terribly sick, until we found out it was cancer. He had a colon cleanse at first , but later on things changed and it was too late to get him back into his old shape. So it was a lesson learned for us. And i hope that we all take care of our health seriously.
