9 opps...I told you.. see? Flooding na ba? LOL. I'm not complaining.. i'm lovin' it. And I think this is a lucky week for me, I was able to grab a $20 opportunity too. I am reaaaalllly enjoying it. I earn a good amount of money while staying at home and being with Joaquin the whole time.
I am a hardworking blogger coz I need to earn some more for next month. I am working to give the daddy his Christmas wish (and with that, I think my personal wish would have to wait again). I already calculated the expenses, and i don't think I'll have my item by december. So wait na naman ang drama ko. But it's okay, I feel that it's best for me to give than to receive for Christmas. Naksss! Honestly, kahit di Christmas, madami na gifts si Gelo, so I really can't ask for more. Having this laptop even though I didn't asked for it (and though there's no special occasion) is something big for me. He would even buy me clothes everytime he will pass by Festival Mall. I love it of course, salamat sa color coding every Thursday, he waits til 7 at Alabang. I'm telling you, he provides more than what I ask from him. Last time, he did shopping for the little boy. Clothes, ball, and bubbles made Joaquin jump for joy. Oh how I value those simple acts of love. I am a "babaw" person when it comes to pasalubongs or gifts. I guess it's the thought that we are remembered that counts.
So now, I am also giving something for him. I haven't worked longer than 5 months in my entire life, so I honestly don't have much money even when I was still single. This is really a time for me to be a giver. Yes, I am giving him his Christmas wish. From my blogging money, I might buy the item online (or during Thanksgiving sale, but I doubt if it will go on sale), have it shipped at my family's US address then have it shipped here. All for love talaga :) Yeeehhhheeeee!
So now, I hope you do understand why I blog to death.. this is something for the daddy this time. Oh you might notice, I don't have plans on buying anything for Joaqui? Why? I will tell you soon.. For the mean time, blog muna :)

The Perfect Luggage
Travelling is one of things that we things we really enjoy doing now as a family. In our most recent trip to Bohol, we decided to invest on a good luggage that can carry all our stuff. I believe that spending a good amount of money would mean getting the best in terms of quality, not to mention style of course. Our luggages go through a lot during the course of ourtravel, so it really needs to be made of a good material that can withstand pressure and weight. I feel so happy that we own this red luggage now, because I was able to spot it easily amidst all the black lugagges. We also got ourselves a very nice hand carry that also served as our baby bag for Joaquin. I wonder where our next destination will be.

Most of the things I own were given by my mom, dad or by Gelo. Hmm.. maybe the Nokia 6610 that I was able to buy because of my swarovski creations, i designed and hand made necklaces, earrings and bracelets before. I never had enough money because I never experienced working that long, LOL.

Health Watch
So, the Daddy is really into diet and exercise now huh!? Last night, we checked on his weight and he already lost 6 lbs., not bad. But it seems that he is really taking it seriously. He is even planningto try out Weigh Loss products that he saw over the internet last night. He was actually browsing for some Hair Loss remedies because after using this newly commercialized anti-dandruff shampoo, his hair went crazy that it was falling all of a sudden. I also had my series of hair fall episodes after using the same shampoo, so we both stopped using it.
He was still browsing the website when he saw the topic about Colon Cleanse . His dad had a colon operation last year before Christmas, and that started the series of his illness after. Diet & Exercise
The countdown begins. Gelo started his daily rituals of diet and healthy eating after realizing that his weight is not healthy anymore. He plays basketball every Wednesday after work and he thinks that it is not enough to lose some undesirable weight until Christmas. Last Saturday, we checked on some treadmills at the mall. I never thought that a treadmill can offer a lot of workout varieties in a person's daily exercise. We are still thinking which one to get if we still have a budget by next week. Maybe we can squeeze it in since we are getting a good deal from the store. The daddy is so decided to have his workout at home. He really doesn't have the time to go to the gym. Plus if ever we get the treadmill, my sister and I can use it too.
Memory Upgrade
Computers are so much needed nowadays especially if you are still in school. My cousin, who is taking up Computer Science is upgrading his old Personal Computer. He had second thoughts of buying a new unit so we opted to have a memory upgrade. The Dell Memory is his personal choice. There is a wide range of items to choose from, but we are narrowing down our choices on what his budget would permit. He trusts this brand because he knows its performance when it comes to upgrades. Lighting that works
Last Saturday we went to Laguna to visit my uncle and his family. They have a new house which was constructed last year. I enjoyed touring the house and see the well designed rooms and furnitures. It's simple but very classy. Joaquin had a great time playing at the garden and pond area. We didn't notice that it was already 5 in the afternoon, so we decided to have an early dinner at 6pm. On our way out, my eyes were caught by the lovely landscape lighting that made the garden look so magestic that night. We stopped for a few minutes of chitchat again before we call it a night. On our way home, I just can't stop talking about the lights. I love gardens, because it always looks refreshing, and the lights at night just makes it perfect.

My only best friend from college is getting married next year and I'm so excited for her. I 'm helping her out with the preparations and currently we are looking for wedding invitations. She is looking for something simple but elegant, not too much of words. I remember my own wedding invitation in a diamond white paper and black embossed writings. Hair Loss
Gelo recently had his hair colored because a few gray hair can be seen already. While we were at the parlor, I asked him if that woories him, and he said no. He is more afraid of hair loss actually. Some say that it is partly genetic, so hair loss, being evident from his dad is something that needs to be prevented as much as possible.
There are so many products nowadays in television and evenin print that claims to be good if not the best. But i guess it would be best if the claim woulcome from testimonials of the users, right? Hubby is not planning to do implants at all, and he is not even close to taking preventive maintenance meds, but still, I managed to check for some Hair Loss products over the net. Australia vacation
After our two domestic vacations this year, we are planning for an international getaway by next year. I was thinking of Hongkong at first, but my dear friend from high school, Vanessa, who happens to be Joaquin's godmother too, is inviting us in Australia. She migrated last year and she is currently working there as a Bank Accountant. It made me too excited that I asked her for some tips on places that we need to see once we get there. She even offered her house for a few nights of stay while we go around Sydney. She helped me to conceptualize our travel plan , I just wish we will be granted a tourist visa.
First stop would be Sydney. Gelo is feeling shy to stay at Vanessa's place, so we might check on Hotels in Sydney. We are considering accesibility in the tourist spots to be found in the area, since we have a toddler in tow. The hotel should also be of good servie and of reasonable rates. I guess a 3-day stay would make us experience shopping, dining and the beach culture at Sdyney.
After Sydney comes Melbourne. Hotels in Melbourne are said to be of great finds too. I am eagerly anticipating on what Melboune has to offer. Aside from the daily happenings at the city center, they also have exotic places that is a must to see. And last stop would be Brisbane. I checked on the Hotels in Brisbane and most are fairly priced. We are not really after the fancy ones, we are after service and cleanliness. Of all the places that we want to visit, I have the least knowledge on this one, so I always check on the internet on dining experiences, shopping havens and the local tourist spots. Planning the trip really made me excited and we hope that we can push through with the plans by next year. I am also into budgeting our finances so we can squeeze in this trip. Music and babies
I can still clearly remember the time when I was conceiving Joaquin. My first trimester wasn't that easy at all. I had weekly visits to my Gynecologist because of extreme vomiting episodes. I was even hospitalized for a couple of days to keep me hydrated. I actually thought that I won't recover anymore. I'm just glad I did.
During the 5th month, I have read that classical and instrumental music plays a great role in the early development inside the womb. I made a lot of research of items that I can purchase then and I landed on John Hinson. The site offers a sample of his music and I from that moment, I really admire his music. I even let my hubby hear a few samples,a nd since he has a better ear when it comes to music, i follwed his suggestion when he said that we should get one. It is filled with piano music that is so refreshing. I can feel the emotions in his music. The sound is so soothing so I used it during my bedtime then. It relaxes me so much and the effect to Joaquin ( who was still in my tummy then) was unexplainable. I was able to sleep well with the help of this music.
When Joaquin was a newborn, I played the music during his daytime naps, and it did wonders too. We listen to the entire piano music almost every night and it calms him down , and that would be the start of his bedtime. In times that when he is asleep, I just let the music play. Now that Joaquin is 18 months old, I can see his passion for music. I think the piano music attributes to that because he had an early exposure.
I would highly recommend this to my fellow mommies out there. Try it and be fascinated as well with the kind of music that pianist shares to all of us. It's also in my Christmas shopping list. A few of my high school friends are pregnant now, and I will give them a copy for Christmas. I know , they will enjoy it as much as I do.

Portable DVD Player
Would you believe that at 1 year and 5 months, Joaquin can actually turn on the TV on his own, call my attention and say "blue!" , meaning he wants me to switch on his Blue's clues DVD?! This scenario happens everyday. My son is a DVD buff I know, so much like his dad.
Last April, my mom gave him a portable DVD player that we carry along everytime we travel. We even brought it with us at the hospital when he was admitted. It is a great help for me because it keeps the little boy busy when we travel, and whenever he gets bored, he would usually watch his favorite shows. This player plays the DIVX format , unlike the others who are still not that updated. This portable 10 inch DVD player is so easy to carry around and the screen resolution is really the best I've seen. This portable dvd player includes a rechargeable battery pack that lasts upto 4 hours of continuos watching. You can also plug it directly to your cigarette lighter for in-car use. Shopping galore
I still can't get enoough of online shopping. For international sites, I ship the items to my family's address at California. Weehee! So me and my quick little fingers searched at the web again for things that I can buy from my blogging money. I need to have something for me, for the daddy and for Joaquin of course.
I got myself a vince sweaters which is so in time for the upcoming holidays, of course I am getting something in black so I can still use it in other occassions. Something to match the top would be this paige jeans . I can see that it's perfect in fitting , so I might really get one and see if it will complete me at all. I also visited their page for men, and I was excited to find a very stylish diesel jacket. We have been scouting for a jacket for quite a long time, and I guess he will like this one from Diesel.
I have visited and shopped from a lot of online fashion boutique but this is really an enjoyable site for a shopper like me, it's a shopping haven! They have lots of brand for men and women. Something for the Halloween
It's just a few weeks before the halloween and Joaqui has no costume yet. The previous one I posted is out of stock as my mom told me. Now I'm in a hunt again. It's not really that easy to dress up little boys since the styles are so limited. The daddy is also suggesting a few costumes, but none would get my approval so far. So we are still searching for the perfect one.
Just this morning, I saw these adorable Halloween Costumes for Joaquin. My son is so much into balls so a sport themed costume would be a great idea. I checked on the site and they offer lots of NFL Uniform sets with helmets for kids. What a complete gear! Oh and the little boy already have this red NFL football, so I guess that would complete his look. And since the football is red, and my family is in San Francisco, I am planning to purchase the 49'ers uniform for him. NIce to know that they still have stocks for all the sizes. The price just fits my budget, and I will just have it shipped at my sister's address.

Visit Britain
There is one place that I truly dream of visiting one day with my family. And that would be Britain. I previously worked at an International Hotel chain and I handle guests from UK. I became familiar with most of the places, their culture and most of all the people. I know it is really a wonderful place to visit soon.
So though I don't have a visa yet, I am already looking for a place where my family can stay. Of course, I first checked on London Hotels. I have a list of places to see at London, so that would definitely be our first stop. Then I am also thinking of Edinburgh Hotels. I so love it whenever they say Edinburgh, so far from how the place is spelled, lol. I still need to check on some place that we can visit at Edinburgh though. And our last stop might be Glasgow, so I'm also searching for Glasgow Hotels. Good thing I saw this site where they offer accomodations which are way cheaper than hotels, but still provide a good service and spacious rooms. With the three places that I chose to visit someday, it would be a big help if i'll be getting good rates for the accomodations.
