Our Sunday

Today is is just another usual Sunday for us. I woke up a bit late because i spent hours last night reading about richard willich .It was a good read that i just can't stop myself from reading. After lunch, we went to Astoria Plaza in Ortigas to get the stuff that I left the last time we were there. We got a little hungry and decided to check Podium. We used to regularly go there when my son has gym classes in the area. It was the same as before with a few people shopping. In other words, I love that it is not crowded at all. A few stores were added to my delight, but I am on shopping ban for the nth time. Hahaha.

During our annual family reunion, my boy had a blast playing with his cousins. He was actually not feeling so well that time because of the colds, but still, they played together. He love his cousins that every time we will buy him something, he would always tell us, " Let's buy another one for my cousin". Such a sweet act , right? One time I was looking at some acne body wash at the display rack, and he thought it was a kiddie body wash so he asked me to get one for his cousin too LOL. I hope he would continue to show his affection to his cousins , family is the most important thing to me, as no once can surely replace them in my heart. I can't wait for them to grow together.

New Year's eve

It was a simple celebration for us with our small family. We were supposed to stay in a hotel that night, but i scratched off that idea because i want us to be with my sister who waited for years to be with us on new year's eve. It was the best decision I made, there wasn't much smoke than expected. In short, my kids were able to stay in our living room til 11:30pm, and played with some of their cousins who came over. Me, i was busy preparing spaghetti, garlic bread and fruit salad for all of us. I got too tired after that night, but thanks to my vitamins , I got recharged the next day for another family reunion.I wish that this year, we will spend the Holidays with my mom and dad.

Evacuate

Remember the time when typhoon pepeng was expected to hit Manila that friday night? We had the last minute decision to stay at a hotel along Roxas Blvd, Manila.

The kids were both sick that time, cough and colds - so they needed to use the nebulizer every 6 hrs. And how could we do that if there's no electricity because of the typhoon right? Haay. My boy started to have Skin Asthma attacks too because of the brownout caused by Ondoy. I cannot make him sleep without the aircon nor electric fan as I am 100% sure it will get active the next morning. I packed as quickly as I can , as we have to leave the house before the strong rain hits. We arrived safely at the hotel. I first thought not staying along Roxas as it is fronting the Manila Bay , it can get dangerous with heavy winds and rain. But fortunately it was okay in that part and not scary at all. It was just windy as expected. I bought my laptop as I needed to finish some tasks like my research on acne treatments . I was able to work a little when the kids were playing in our room. It was bigger than what I expected. Buffet breakfast was okay - it was included in our stay . But there's only a few choices , i think for its price, ok na.

It was just a short stay as we arrived late at the hotel, but no regrets at all. Better to be safe than sorry, right?!

We had a great time at this hotel for 3 days .. I have decided to use the overnight GC from my friend, Litzie in time for our 4th wedding anniversary and Father's Day. I like the interior of this hotel , i can see that they have exquisite taste with the materials used. The staff told me that they even used porcelain tile in some parts of the hotel. Here's a few pics that i can share for now , more to come. I still have to upload the shots from our dslr. ( im grateful to my ever reliable point and shoot )

We had a great Saturday lunch at Shakeys. You can tell it with their faces. Iam happy that I brought along our camera. Moments like these are worth capturing. Its priceless.

Our Christmas Eve

.. with Joaqui and Dominique started a little early than most families. Im afraid that Joaqui will sleep anytime that evening since he wasn't able to take a nap in the afternoon. It was a simple one for our family. My sister ordered spaghetti, I bought loaves of bread and choco cake from Aggy's and whipped a fruit salad the last minute.

Gelo and I are wearing our usual "pambahay" outfit , so no pictures of us :) Joaqui was suppose to wear a new set of PJ's with hints of the color red, but he told me that he doesn't like it, but instead wore this one as shown in the pics. ( he's the boss when it comes to his clothes and shoes). Dominique on the other hand simply can't do anything when it comes to her outfit , as in , i'm the boss, LOL.

We started it with Joaqui blowing the candle at the cake for Jesus. I wanna make it a tradition in our family from now on. I want the kids to remember that above anything else, Christmas is the birthday of Jesus, and HE is the star of the show. (never mind the pink candle hahaha)

Notice some pics are a bit dark? I think it has something to do with our lighting at home. I gotta find a way to improve it before New Year.

We were already in bed by 12 midnight. Though it was just our small family who welcomed Christmas at home ( my sister and the helpers went to mass) , it's indeed one of the best for me coz I spent it with the people I call MY LIFE.

Binagyong weekend at Tagaytay part 1

.. oh not only binagyo.. with matching fever episodes pa of Gelo since Saturday night. But still we had fun at our room.

We left our place at around 7:30 am , because I fear the heavy traffic at SLEX. Fortunately, no traffic at all. We first stopped at Gelo's office at Laguna Technopark in Sta. Rosa because he needs to attend a very important meeting plus he needs to check their production set up for the weekend. Joaqui and I stayed inside the car coz it was raining, and when the sky cleared a bit, we went strolling around their huge parking lot ( but we weren't allowed to take pics though). Bawal daw pa picture dun sabi ni Gelo. Ang arte ha !

Tomorrow, June 19, Gelo and I will celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary . Yiheee!

We will start the day by visiting my OB at UST, I wasnt able to have my check up last Saturday, Dra had an emergency at the Ultrasound section, and I cant wait any longer, so walkout ako :) Since her clinic hours is from 12-2 pm, we will just have lunch at SM maybe, or even at the fast food restos at the UST Parking. I always eat rice even before it's 12 noon. As in I cant wait, LOL.

After my check up, off we will go to the mall, MOA maybe? See, no definite plans yet. I need to buy an evening bag and shoes (not too high like the ones i have now) because we will attend my bestfriend's wedding on Friday.

On Saturday, we are hitting Tagaytay for an overnight stay at The Boutique. A last minute decision for us, because Gelo wasn't sure of his schedule from work yet. So we settled for the I Dream room , i know we will have the grandest time whichever room we have. And you might ask if we will bring the little boy with us.. OF COURSE! I can't sleep without him by my side. We plan to check Bag of Beans, Pink Sisters , and Cliffside. Lets see if I have the powers, lately, i get tired easily.

Terno

Would you believe that Gelo and i loves to wear matching shoes since college? We have the red Nike Presto before... then another Nike Sandals , and another Nike rubber shoes that I cant remember the model name too , LOL. I have always been a Terno girl.. with my older sister and with my younger sister when we were young. I got it from my mom :) She would have customized dresses for me and my sisters .. hihihi .

I would love to match my outfit and shoes with my child, and since I have a boy, then it would be terno for Gelo and Joaqui. I found these at Footlocker.com

Soory for the pics, they look like of the same size, LOL. It's not really of the same model, but since I loved the one for Gelo, I thought of looking for something similar for the little boy. Pwede na diba? Then look at these boardshorts from oldnavy :) I already got one for Joaqui, im thinking if i'll get one for the dad . If it wont be in time for our trip at the end of this month, they can use if for our trip on May :)

Fun Sunday at Fun Ranch

At last! We were able to see the place!

After Joaqui and Bela's class at the Little Gym, we (gelo and me, Howell and Abie ) had a quick luch at the ever reliable McDo El Pueblo. It was really a quick one but the boys still had time to make chit chats while Abie and I were ordering.. ayos! We later trooped to FunRanch for Joaqui's photo shoot with Howell. The little boy had fun at the car and he gamely posed at the mini round centerstage.. Kung Fu kids talaga ang posing! LOL! He saw the stall of purefoods and asked for a hotdog. Bela had a bite of the hotdog too. After the shoot, we rode the Carousel.. The little boy had a great time, waving to Dad, Tito Howell and Bela's yaya :) Hihih! But i guess he got tired after that his eyes really looked so sleepy hehehe.. and so we decided to go home already.. we had so much fun.. and thanks to abie and howell :)

Saturday at Powerplant

We are so late to have these pictures. LOL! But as they say, better late than never. Buti umabot pa diba?!

We were supposed to check out Trinoma, but since we are too afraid to get lost for lacking some road directional skills, so I suggested checking out Rockwell. Why? Coz I know they have sale on Zara! Bwahahaha! I scored 2 shirts for the little boy (345 each..weeee!), and the leggings that I want is not on sale. So I'll buy next time, ayaw ko na pumila for the fitting rooms.

We met Erika's hubby and gave him Sierra's items. Too bad my inaanak was in deep sleep at the carpark, hence no pic with joaqui. It was a quick chat that we had. We also had Ice blended coffee at Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. Thanks to my Belle De Jour Planner coupon, Buy 1, Take 1 Free!! Also had Ham and cheese crepe at Press ( the snack bar besides Fully Booked).. That's not all, we had dinner at Burgoo hihihi!.. Takaw!

We had so much fun that night, power eating again! We went home around 12:30 but traffic at the tollgate was terrible, considering it was almost 1am already. We used my MIL's adventure and it doesn't have an E-Pass hehehe. Only a few lanes were open, so we have no choice but to wait in line..

But nevertheless, it's one memorable night of eating and bonding time with my cousins.
