How will I ever forget this day?

Exactly 10 years ago today, I said "YES" to my friend who later on became my boyfriend, and now my husband and the father of my only son. It's been 10 long years of togetherness and I must admit, it's not that easy as it seems. Let me take you back in time..

I first met Gelo last June of 1995 at Mapua and we were classmates then. I only have 1 girl friend and all of my friends were boys. And he's one of them. we spend lunch together but we are really not that close. I'm closer to someone else, whose name i won't mention na lang. Years passed, we remained classmates coz we were both taking up Industrial Engineering. He's into someone else, and I am enjoying my single days then. To cut the story short, he became single and courted me. I planned everything to fall on Nov 28, because 8 is a lucky number.. continuous.. no ending.. eternal. O diba? We had a dinner at Italiannis Robinsons Place and we ordered Spaghetti with Meatballs and a Pizza. Yes, I can clearly remember everything. And it's been 10 years.

We shared a lot of stories together, some bitter, some sweet. But it doesn't matter, what matters most is that we still have each other after all those years. If ever I will be given a chance to choose a husband, It would still be Gelo. There may be a lot of men out there, but I am certain that only HE can love me this much. And I am so grateful for that love.


Because of him , I met new friends, friends that I truly value until now. I learned to give and to share. I opened myself more. I embraced love, trust and hope. I thinkof myself less and think of others more.

Life after marriage wasn't a fairy tale at all. It was actually after being tied that we experinced a lot of storms. But I am so proud and thankful that we were able to surpass everything. With God's guidance, we are together and honestly, we've never been this inlove. (mushy na ba? , but thats true).. Now, we have Joaquin.. and I can say that I feel so complete. 10 years ago, I never imagined we will last this long, I never even imagied that we will have a son.

To Gelo, Thank you for everything :) thank you for all the love and understanding, and most of all , thank you for giving me Joaquin. And like what I always tell you since Day 1 .. Let me share it here..

Shared joy is double joy.. Shared sorrow is half sorrow..
